Ayan Mukerji's Mega-Budgeted Multistarrer 'Brahmastra' Finally Gets A Release Date

Mumbai, November 26 - It has been nearly 4 years since filmmaker Karan Johar announced an ambitious action-adventure superhero film, "Brahmastra" with director Ayan Mukerji. The movie, which features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles, was originally announced for Christmas 2019 release, but it couldn't be completed by that time and since then, it kept getting delayed because of the covid-19 pandemic.

However, after being in production for a long time, things are finally looking bright for "Brahmastra" as the final shooting schedule of the film was recently concluded in Mumbai. It is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited films, and the talks around it have been making noise for quite some time now.



Meanwhile, there is some good news regarding the release date of "Brahmastra". While the official announcement is yet to be made, it is learned that Karan Johar, Disney India, and the team is targetting a September 9, 2022, release, coincides with a partial holiday on account of Ganesh Visarjan, especially in Maharashtra.

This is a wise move by makers to release the film in the month of September. As of now, the entire month of September 2022 is open as there is only "Vikram Vedha" scheduled to release on 30th September. "Brahmastra" is one of the costliest films and needs a clear release window. If the reports are to be believed, it wouldn't face any opposition in the second week too given that the stakes involved are too high.
