'Bhagam Bhag 2' Officially Confirmed

Mumbai, November 23 - The sequel to Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal's comedy entertainer Bhagam Bhag has officially been confirmed after the news first broke out recently. The OG trio will return to headline the second instalment.

It was reported that rights for the sequel were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who has also been simultaneously working on the film's script. It will be co-produced by Shemaroo.



The producer stated that Bhagam Bhag 2 will be funnier and madder than before and added, "A special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge". (via Movies Talkies)

The film will go into production by the middle of 2025 and be released worldwide in 2026, joining the impressive theatrical slate of Indian and international films of the year.

The original Bhagam Bhag, directed by legendary Priyadarshan, was released in 2006 and emerged as a box office hit with a worldwide gross collection of around 68 crores. The movie gained a cult status over the years for its immense popularity.
