Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman Dies Of Cancer At 43
Marvel's superhero movie, 'Black Panther' actor Chadwick Boseman has died of colon cancer at the age of 43, his family has said in a statement on August 29. The actor was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 had been battling this for four years.
"Chadwick was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage 4", his family said in the statement.
"A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and several more- all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T'Challa to life in Black Panther", read the statement.

Boseman became a household name after appearing as the Marvel superhero Black Panther in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, and then in director Ryan Coogler's 2018 film. He followed it up with two more appearances as the character in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. His most recent film appearance was in director Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods, which released on Netflix earlier this year.
Marvel pays tribute to the actor via its official Twitter handle, "Our hearts are broken and our thoughts are with Chadwick Boseman’s family. Your legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace", the tweet read.

Marvel's 'Hulk' fame Mark Ruffalo also remembers the late actor and said that it was the highest honor getting to work with Boseman and getting to know him. "It was the highest honor getting to work with you and getting to know you. What a generous and sincere human being. You believed in the sacred nature of the work and gave your all. Much love to your family. And much love from all of us left here", Ruffalo wrote on Twitter.
