Box Office: Sivakarthikeyan's 'Amaran' Roars Past 100 Crore Worldwide
Chennai, November 2 - Actor Sivakarthikeyan's biographical war action drama film Amaran has entered the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office in just 3 days and is heading towards emerging a big blockbuster for the actor.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran minted approximately 68.50 crores worldwide in the first 2 days and is looking at another 35+ crores gross on Saturday to take the total collection to around 105 crores in three 3 days, which is extraordinary outcome.
Domestically, the movie started with approximately 24.75 crores gross, followed by 22 crores gross on Friday (2nd day). On its third day, Saturday, the movie is likely to be its biggest day so far and is expected to bring 25+ crores gross for a total of 3 days of domestic cume to around 72 crores gross while the overseas collection is 33+ crores gross.
Amaran is the third movie for Sivakarthikeyan to enter the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office, after Don (114 crores) and Doctor (100+ crores). It is also the 6th Tamil movie of 2024 to breach the milestone after The GOAT, Vettaiyan, Raayan, Indian 2, and Maharaja.
The trend at the domestic and overseas box office of Amaran has been excellent so far and with positive word of mouth, it is certain to perform well beyond the weekend. It will become Siva's biggest grosser by tomorrow and has a genuine shot at becoming the the first 200 crores grosser of the rising star.
