Brahmastra 3D Tickets In High Demand For National Cinema Day
Mumbai, September 20 - Over 4000 theater screens are getting ready to celebrate India's first ever National Cinema Day on September 23, Friday. On that day, some of the leading multiplex chains and single-screen theaters will sell movie tickets for just Rs. 75 for all versions and the positive effect of it is already being seen in the advance sales.
Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, which is currently playing in theaters, is witnessing a huge demand for tickets for National Cinema Day. The 3D shows of this fantasy action adventure film in the cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata are filling super fast for NCD. As of now, it has sold over 5 lakh tickets worth approx. Rs. 4.30 crores. "Brahmastra" is expected to witness Housefull shows on September 23, especially in 3D. The advance booking in 2D is also decent and it will pick over the next couple of days. NCD will give the opportunity to score another big weekend and looking at the advance booking response, the movie will easily cross the 250 crores mark.
Meanwhile, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) is expecting huge footfalls on National Cinema Day and the early indication proving their expactations right. The National Cinema Day will be a perfect opportunity for the other movies to generate footfalls. Director R. Balki's Chup is expected to have a good start because of the NCD along with James Cameron's Avatar, which is rereleasing on September 23.
