Chris Pratt Calls 'Jurassic World: Dominion' The End Of The Franchise
Mumbai, May 7 - Universal Pictures' upcoming science fiction adventure film, "Jurassic World Dominion" could be the end of the franchise, at least according to Chris Pratt. The sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, the upcoming movie is directed by Colin Trevorrow.
Jurassic World: Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history's most fearsome creatures.
Pratt, who reprises his role as Owen Grady, said during a conversation with The Today Show that there's a measure of finality to Dominion that will surprise a ton of longtime fans of the franchise.
"You know when you go to a fireworks display like the Fourth of July or New Years, there's always the finale? You're waiting for it, and then boom! And you're like, 'Oh! This is it! This is the finale!' I feel like the whole movie is that. It's 30 years in the making, it's the sixth Jurassic film, it's the end of this franchise", Pratt said.
"Jurassic World Dominion" is the third Jurassic movie for Pratt, who first starred in 2015's "Jurassic World" movie. The actor recalled the time when the first movie in the franchise was released in 1990.
"The first time I saw Jurassic Park, I was thirteen. I had no idea I was going to be an actor. If you would've told me that I would be doing this, there's no way I would've believed it. And these folks were cemented in my mind as icons, and so to be working with them is a dream come true", he added.
