Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' Packs A Landmark Punch In Srinagar's INOX Multiplex
Srinagar, July 22 - Maverick filmmaker Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie "Oppenheimer" has created history by becoming the first Hollywood movie ever to achieve 100% occupancy in Srinagar of Jammu & Kashmir, according to a report by Rising Kashmir.
This groundbreaking moment was witnessed in INOX Srinagar, the city's premier multiplex on the film's opening day on July 21. Over the last year, Jammu & Kashmir witnessing an unprecedented response for Indian as well as Hollywood movies.
Earlier this year, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" met with an extraordinary response and now, "Oppenheimer" has captured the hearts of the people of Kashmir, drawing unprecedented interest and love for Hollywood films in the region.
The Rising Kashmir reports that the overwhelming response to "Oppenheimer" has been nothing short of phenomenal, with all shows for the next three days already booked. This unprecedented achievement reflects the growing fascination and admiration of Kashmiri cinephiles for Hollywood's global storytelling.
Directed by the visionary filmmaker Christopher Nolan, "Oppenheimer" is based on the 2005 biography American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. The film chronicles the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who was pivotal in developing the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project, thereby ushering in the Atomic Age.
