Confusion Over Release Date of Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'

Chennai, May 4 - There seems to be one last change in the release dates before the Indian summer box office kicks off with a bang.

As the Indian box office is looking to rebound from the lean couple of months, the makers of Pan India movies are locking dates to give the best shot at the box office. Veteran Kamal Haasan's vigilante action Indian 2, directed by Shankar, was announced on June 13/14 for box office hunting.



While the makers are still to make any changes to the release date of Indian 2, rumours are hitting social media stating the postponement of it. The rumours say that the much-awaited Pan-Indian flick has been postponed to July, however, there is no reliable confirmation on the same yet.

Indian 2, the sequel to 1996 Indian, has been in the making for a long time and it has already been postponed multiple times. Lyca Productions production recently set a June 2024 release for the movie and with just over 1 month to go for its worldwide launch, there is a possibility of its postponement for one more time.

If Indian 2 skips the June release, Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD would be the first Pan India blockbuster to arrive on the big screen to start the summer season. The Nag Ashwin's directorial sci-fi epic is slated to be released on June 27 in multiple languages.
