D43 First Look: Dhanush's Film With Director Karthick Naren Is Titled - Maaran

Chennai, July 28, 2021: After returning from the US after completing Russo Brothers' Netflix movie "The Gray Man", Tamil superstar, Dhanush, had resumed shooting for his next film with the director Karthick Naren, referred to as #D43. Now, on Wednesday (July 28), the makers of the film have unveiled the first look and title of D43 on the actor's 37th birthday.

The film, titled "Maaran" also stars Malavika Mohan playing the female lead. It is said that Dhanush and Malavika are both playing journalists in this film, which is said to be an emotional action thriller. The shooting recently resumed and is currently in progress in Hyderabad.



The first look poster features Dhanush slamming a goon's face on a glass table and interestingly, each of the scattered glass pieces reflects the actor's face showing different emotions, which surely exciting to look forward to.

Produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films, Maaran is written by Sharfu and Suhas, with lyricist Vivek making his screenwriting debut, credited for additional screenplay and dialogues. The investigative thriller also stars Smruthi Venkat and Samuthirakani in key roles. The music of the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has several projects in the pipeline across languages. The films include Naane Varuven, Selvaraghavan's sequel to Aayirathil Oruvan, Atrangi Re, an untitled film with Ramkumar, Russo Brothers' The Gray Man, and a trilingual with Sekhar Kammula.
