Deepika Padukone Charges A Whopping Price To Feature In Prabhas 21

It was recently when one of the leading actresses of Bollywood Deepika Padukone roped in for Prabhas starrer upcoming untitled movie called as Prabhas 21. However, it was not easy for the makers to bring Deepika on board as she put up a "very strong resistance". But makers were keen to have her on board and they made her an offer she couldn't resist.

According to a report in a leading portal stated, "Apparently Deepika these days, asks for remuneration on a par with what the leading man of a film gets. She rightly feels she has earned herself a place of gender equality in her profession".



The report suggests that despite not getting an equal fee to Prabhas (he is paid close to Rs. 50 crores), Deepika is being paid close to Rs. 20 crores which makes her the highest-paid actress in the history of Indian cinema.

Interestingly, the role of the female protagonist in the Prabhas starrer was not "all that substantial" to begin with. It is now being modified according to Deepika Padukone's star status and remuneration.

Talking about the movie, it will be a trilingual movie that will be directed by Nag Ashwin who also directed national award-winning Telugu movie Mahanati. It is said to be a sci-fi movie which will be produced by Vyjayanthi Films, and Priyanka Dutta of Swapna Cinema.
