Director Lokesh Kanagaraj Promises 'Kaithi 2' To Be Stronger Than 'Leo'
Chennai, October 28 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is on cloud nine with the mega success of the action drama "Leo", starring Thalapathy Vijay. Despite mixed reception regarding the second half, the film is doing very well at the box office and crossed 500 crores gross mark worldwide in 10 days.
The filmmaker, during the trailer launch event of Karthi's "Japan" today, accepted the public opinion that there were some flaws in the second half of "Leo", and promised to come up with a stronger output in his next film in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
As known to everyone, "Leo" is the third film in the LCU and the next in the series is Karthi's "Kaithi 2" which will commence by the end of this year. During the event, Lokesh informed the audience that he wrote "Leo" some five years back and didn't want to change the script much by adding extra elements and promised that "Kaithi 2" would be stronger than his previous films.
The director also revealed that Thalapathy Vijay is happy with the success of "Leo", and also said that he saw the theatre response of the audience cheering for the movie. The success meeting of the film will happen in the next few days and Lokesh will also give a post-release interview to answer all the LCU theories in the film.
Meanwhile, the blockbuster filmmaker will next direct superstar Rajinikanth for which the shoot will commence around March next year.
