Drew McIntyre Advances To The WWE EliminationChamber Match On 2/9 WWE SmackDown

SmackDown kicked off tonight with Triple H at the helm. He addressed the recent drama at the WrestleMania XL press event, throwing some pointed shade at The Rock for overstepping his boundaries. Triple H then firmly reasserted his control, confirming that the main event at WrestleMania 40 will be an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship clash between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Not wanting to waste time, Nick Aldis quickly shifted the focus to finding Seth Rollins a WrestleMania opponent. He declared a Men's Elimination Chamber match to determine who'll have that coveted spot against "The Architect."



To ramp up the excitement, Adam Pearce revealed a star-studded list of contenders: Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio, LA Knight, Bobby Lashley, Bronson Reed, The Miz, Sami Zayn, and even Ivar. Qualifying matches will soon determine who gets to fight their way into the brutal Elimination Chamber structure.

In the first match, Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles to qualify for the match.
