Emraan Hashmi Announces 'Awarapan 2' With Release Date

Mumbai, March 24 - In a surprising turn of events and the rumours of the re-release of Awarapan, Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has announced the sequel to his cult classic romance action drama on the occasion of his birthday.

Awarapan is one of the most loved films of Emraan Hashmi and its popularity over the years makes it a cult classic. For the last few weeks, there have been rumours that the makers would re-release it amid the growing demand but the team has treated the fans with a bigger surprise by announcing Awarapan 2.



The film will be produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films. It is not yet confirmed if Mohit Suri, who directed the original film, will return to helm the sequel. The makers have teased that it will be the continuation of the first part and will hit the big screen on April 3, 2026.
