Female Lead Locked For Superstar Yash-Fronted 'Toxic'

Mumbai, January 9 - Kannada superstar Yash, after the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2, has teamed up with Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas for the first time for his next film titled Toxic - A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, produced by KVN Productions.

The film was recently announced with the first look title teaser which instantly caught the attention of the movie lovers and has increased the excitement to the next level. According to the latest reports, the makers have locked Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor as the female lead in this gangster drama film.



It was recently reported that Kareena was in advance talks with the makers to star alongside Yash in Toxic, and now, as per the latest development, the actress has agreed to the same. It will mark Kareena's first film with Yash and her debut in Kannada cinema.

Toxic is the keenly awaited film as it brings the powerhouse of talents across industries together. The movie reportedly deals with the drug mafia and is primarily set in Goa. The makers have locked the April 10, 2025, release date of the movie in multiple languages.

Kareena, meanwhile, also has Rohit Shetty's directorial "Singham Again", starring Ajay Devgn in the title role in the pipeline along with "The Crew". Both the movies are currently in production while filming of Toxic is expected to commence this month.
