From Bachchan Pandey To Bell Bottom, Akshay Kumar Have 7 Films In Line-Up
As we all know, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is known for doing 3-4 movies in a year. He is one of the actors at present who completes the shoot of a film within a month and a half. Nowadays, he has become a guaranteed hit machine, in fact, in the last couple of years, he has been on a different level of producing some of the biggest money-spinners.
While he gave 4 of the biggest blockbuster movies with Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4, and Good Newwz in 2019, an even bigger and exciting line-up of as many as 7 movies of him is waiting for all of us. Had not COVID-19 pandemic, he might have finished some of them by now. Now, the makers are planning to slowly start working, the actor has his plan laid out.
According to a report in news daily, Akshay Kumar will first work on the spy-thriller, Bell Bottom that will be directed by Ranjit M Tewari. Akshay and the team will shoot the film in Scotland for a month. They will also shoot a few scenes in India. According to the report, Akshay chose this film first as it doesn’t require scenes that need a lot of crowd or high-end action sequences.
Later, he will resume work on Prithviraj Chauhan with YRF, which shoot was halted by the coronavirus pandemic. According to reports in the daily, the makers are in no hurry to finish it as it is a historical movie and requires a certain scale. So, Akshay plans to shoot it by October end.
After Prithviraj Chauhan, the actor has Anand L Rai's Atrangi Re, co-starring Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush. For this film, Akshay Kumar is required to shoot for two weeks. He will allot the dates once the shooting kickstarts.
After Atrangi Re, the 52-year old finally, will start work on Sajid Nadiadwala's Bachchan Pandey by December-January. "He has a team in place to ensure that all SOPs are strictly followed by everyone. Safety will be the priority on the set," said a source to the daily.
Next year, Akshay Kumar to work with Ekta Kapoor for an action-comedy film which is a remake of a Telugu film. Later, he will collaborate with Maneesh Sharma for an untitled project.
As of now, his cop drama movie with the director Rohit Shetty is ready to hit the theaters on Diwali while his Laxmmi Bomb will directly release on Disney Plus Hotstar soon.
Along with above all the projects, there are some strong rumors that Akshay Kumar might see in Yash Raj Film's (YRF) Dhoom 4 in which he will play the lead antagonist. However, there is no official confirmation yet from either Akshay or YRF.
