Gangubai Kathiawadi Hits Big Screens, Huge Expectations From The Movie

Mumbai, February 25 - The Industry has huge expectations from Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi movie. Bollywood has been in a low phase ever since the outbreak of the pandemic. Apart from Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi, all movies failed to perform well at the box office. Now distributors and exhibitors are expecting Gangubai Kathiawadi to do good business.

It is a female-oriented movie directed by a prominent director of Bollywood Sanjay Leela Bhansali.



Advance bookings of this movie are good and trade experts are expecting a double-digit opening. Many female-oriented movies came before without any pull or support from male stars. These movies include Kahaani, Veere di Wedding, Queen, and Raazi. All these movies did well at the box office Raazi had hit the 100 cr mark in the domestic box office.

Alia Bhatt is one of the most popular actresses in India at the moment. It will be interesting to see the role she makes to bring people to the theatres. The core audience for this movie is confined to the state of Maharashtra.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Apart from Alia, there is Vijay Raaz in another important role and Ajay Devgn will be seen in a cameo appearance as Kareem Lala.
