Australia's Steven Smith and David Warner were among the big players who have been retained by their respective franchise for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. Steven Smith and David Warner who captained Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017, missed out the previous season due to one-year ban in Newland's ball-tampering saga earlier this year. However, the Australian duo will be seen in action in an upcoming edition of IPL after their respective franchise shown full faith in them but whether or not they will retain the leadership role is yet to be known.

India's World Cup 2011 winning hero Yuvraj Singh has been released by Kings XI Punjab along with Australia's Aaron Finch. Both the players struggled in the previous season with the bat and therefore they will have to wait till players auction to be picked.
