IPL 2019: Stats And Records
It's been thrilling last seven weeks of the Indian Premier League and one couldn't ask for a better end of the tournament where Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by 1-run in a nail-biting final at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad to win their 4th (most by any) title in 12 seasons of IPL.

West Indies' pacer Alzarri Joseph broke Sohail Tanvir's 11-year old record for the best bowling figures in IPL. Against Sunrisers Hyderabad he took 6 for 12 on his debut for Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2019 Awards and Winners:
Orange Cap - David Warner (692 runs)
David Warner made his comeback in the IPL after missing out last year a memorable one by winning the Orange Cap for the leading run scorer of the tournament. He is the only batsman to win this award three times (2015, 2017, 2019) and more interestingly, Mumbai Indians have emerged as a winner every time.
Purple Cap - Imran Tahir (26 wickets)
Age is just a number for some players and South African star Imran Tahir proved that by becoming the oldest to win the Purple Cap for the leading wicket-taker of the tournament.
Most valuable player of the tournament - Andre Russell
Well, there was no competition for this award. Hardik Pandya came close but it was Andre Russell who grabbed this award. He scored 510 runs and took 11 wickets in 14 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders. He made everyone in awe with his inhuman striking throughout the tournament.
Emerging player of the tournament - Shubman Gill
A well-deserved award to the 19-year old Shubman Gill who impressed one and all with his batting under pressure. Gill scored 296 runs in 14 matches. In the first few matches, he played in the middle order but since he was given a chance to open the innings, he didn't look back after that.
Fair play award - Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the fair play award. In fact, SRH is the only team to averages 10 in the tournament history. This was the second time after 2016, SRH won this award.
