Don 3: Ranveer Singh Is The Next Don In Farhan Akhtar's Blockbuster Franchise

Mumbai, August 9 - Supremely talented Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh has officially been confirmed to carry the baton forward as the next Don in filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's blockbuster franchise. The actor was confirmed as Don months ago, and now, the makers officially announced the same.

Ranveer Singh will replace Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who previously led two Don movies in 2006 and 2011. Before Shah Rukh Khan, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan headlined the original Don movie in 1978 and it is considered the best film in the franchise yet.



Farhan Akhtar will direct "Don 3" and will also be producing it with Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment. The shoot of the movie will commence next year and it will have a grand worldwide release sometime in 2025.

The official announcement of "Don 3" was made today (August 9) with a blockbuster teaser that shows Ranveer sitting with his back to the camera in a high-rise building. He's wearing a leather jacket, leather boots and smokes a cigarette before facing the camera and introducing himself as Don.
