Jade Cargill Officially Signs A Multi-Year Deal With WWE
STAMFORD, September 26 - It's now official: Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has inked a multi-year contract with WWE. ESPN was the first to report this development. Before joining WWE, Cargill had been with AEW from 2020 to 2023, during which she held the AEW TBS Championship once as the inaugural titleholder.
Her tenure with AEW concluded on the September 15th episode of Rampage when she lost her title to Statlander in a rematch. After her contract expired on that day, she was taken off AEW's active roster page.
Here is the full report from WWE:
STAMFORD, Conn., September 26, 2023 – WWE today announced it has signed Jade Cargill to a multi-year contract. The news was first reported by ESPN.
Cargill, a standout performer who has earned accolades as an industry-renowned talent, will begin training today at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Dave Meltzer recently reported on the Wrestling Observer Radio, that WWE is actively working on important creative plans for Jade Cargill's inclusion in the main roster.
WWE's intentions with Jade Cargill are different from how they handle some NXT talent like Von Wagner or Alba Fyre. Often, new talents brought in by WWE end up fading away due to poor storylines. However, it is expected that Jade Cargill is not earmarked for such treatment; she is being considered for more substantial opportunities.
