Tokyo, April 9 - Japanese animated fantasy adventure film Suzume has created a new box office record for an anime movie.
Directed by Makoto Shinkai, the movie has crossed the $100 million mark (¥13.2 billion) in China, becoming the first ever Anime title to reach this landmark in a market outside Japan. It reached the $100 million mark on its 16th day after getting released on March 24 in the country.
