John Abraham to produce Hindi remake of Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum

Bollywood superstar John Abraham has acquired the Hindi remake rights of the blockbuster Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum which was released on 7 February 2020. The actor's production house JA Entertainment will produce the film.

John Abraham took to Twitter and said, "Ayyappanum Koshiyum, a film that strikes a perfect balance between action, thrill and a good story. At JA Entertainment we are keen to bring such appealing stories to our audience..we hope to make a truly engaging film with this remake in Hindi. Really Excited !!!"

Ayyappanum Koshiyum is an action thriller film which is written and directed by K R Sachidanandan popularly known as Sachy and produced by Ranjith and P. M. Sasidharan under the banner Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. The film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon along with Gowri Nandha, Anna Rajan, and Ranjith in pivotal roles.

The story of the film revolves around the conflict between Koshy Kurien (Prithviraj Sukumaran), an ex-Havildar and Ayyappan Nair (Biju Menon), a Sub-inspector in Attappadi. The film was critically acclaimed and loved by the audiences. It did good business at the box office and declared a blockbuster.
