Kangana Ranaut Changed Her Mind For Alia Bhatt-Fronted 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'

Mumbai, February 26 - Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has proved that she can single-handedly drive her movies at the box office after her latest biographical drama, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" takes a fantastic start by collecting over Rs. 12 crores gross.

Before the release of the film, many have written off the box office chances of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed, and one of them was Kangana Ranaut. The "Thalaivii" actress, who has been critical of Bollywood for the last few years, had said that "Gangubai Kathiawadi" would be a big flop at the box office.



Meanwhile, after the opening day outcome of "Gangubai Kathiawadi", Kangana decide to change her mind and appreciated the film for reviving the cinema biz. The actress, however, also takes a dig at Alia Bhatt (without mentioning her name).

"Happy to hear theatres are being revived in South film industry with record-breaking collections. I hear some baby steps are being taken in Hindi belt also. With recent female-centric film which has a big hero and a superstar director. They may be baby steps but they are not insignificant. They will be crucial for theatres that are on ventilators here. Great", Kangana wrote in Instagram stories.

"Never expected that movie mafia will rise to the occasion and do something good. If they do we will be absolutely appreciative. Hoping for the best", she added.

On the other hand, Kangana too has multiple projects lined up this year. She will be headlining "Dhaakad", and "Tejas", which are slated to release in April and October, respectively. She will also be hosting a reality show, "Lock Upp" on MX Player.
