Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' Trailer Date Launch Announced; Release Date Re-Confirmed

Mumbai, August 12 - Actor and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited biographical political drama Emergency trailer is getting ready to be launched on August 14. The movie is directed by Kangana who also plays the lead role of former Prime Minister of India, the late Indira Gandhi.

The actress took to social media platform X to announce the trailer launch data and also re-confirmed that Emergency would be released in theatres worldwide on September 6, 2024. Produced by Manikarnika Films and EaseMyTrip in association with Zee Studios, Emergency stars Ranaut as Indira Gandhi alongside Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

The film is based on the Indian Emergency, a 21-month period from 1975 to 1977 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had a state of emergency across the country.
