'Kantara' Creates A Historic Record At The Karnataka Box Office
Bengaluru, October 24 - Rishab Shetty's blockbuster Kantara has created a huge record in Karnataka state as it has become the most-watched film ever in the state in theaters. This is indeed a huge record considering it wasn't expected to be this strong.
The Rishab Shetty-starrer film has grossed approx. 130 crores in Karnataka state with approx. 7.7 million footfalls. It beat the footfalls of both the "KGF" films which scored 7.5 million and 7.2 million footfalls respectively. "KGF 2", however, is currently the highest-grossing film in the state.
Interestingly, the top four films, also including "Raajakumara", in Karnataka are produced by Hombale Films, a studio that has become the synonym for blockbuster films. "Kantara" is on course to score 1 crore or 10 million footfalls in Karnataka and it will be a massive achievement to think of.
