Karthi's Tamil Movie 'Viruman' Sets Release Date

Chennai, May 18 - Tamil star Karthi is returning to the big screen with the upcoming action entertainer, "Viruman". Directed by M. Muthaiah, the movie will be hitting theaters worldwide on August 31, 2022, the makers announced on Wednesday.





"Viruman" is produced by Karthi's brother Suriya and Jyotika under their banner 2D Entertainment. The rural entertainer movie marks the younger daughter of director Shankar, Aditi Shankar's film debut. The movie also features Prakash Raj and Soori in pivotal roles.





2D Entertainment took to Twitter and announced the release date with a new poster. The studio has teamed up with Sakthi Film Factory to release the movie.





"Viruman" marks the second collaboration between Karthi and director Muthaiaya after the action drama film, Komban (2015). Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has delivered hit songs for Karthi in films like Paruthiveeran, Paiyaa, and Naan Mahaan Alla, has composed the music for a Karthi film after eight years.
