Kartik Aaryan's Creature-Comedy 'Naagzilla' Officially Announced With Release Date

Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has reunited with Karan Johar's Dharma Production for a creature comedy Naagzilla. The movie has been in the news for the past few weeks, and the makers officially confirmed it with the first look poster and release date.

Naagzilla will be directed by the Fukrey director, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and it will hit the big screen on August 14, 2026, ahead of Independence Day and Nag Panchami. The film, Kartik Aaryan will play the role of a Snake-Man, and he will be fighting the snakes in the movie.



The upcoming film is a one-of-a-kind creature comedy in Indian cinema. Both Kartik and Lamba have proven their talent in the comedy space, and the duo is excited to collaborate for the first time in Naagzilla. The movie is currently in pre-production and is expected to start rolling by August/September this year.

Naagzilla, produced by Dharma Production and Mahaveer Jain Films, will clash with Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2, which is also a creature comedy from Maddock Films. It is yet to start production.

Kartik, meanwhile, will next be seen in director Anurag Basu's yet untitled love story, which will hit the big screen on Diwali this year. He also has Dharma Productions' romance drama Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Sameer Vidwans, for Valentine's Day 2026 release.
