'Khaali Peeli' Teaser Starring Ishaan Khatter And Ananya Pandey Gets Mixed Response

Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey starrer upcoming movie Khaali Peeli's first teaser was dropped on Monday, August 24. Directed by Maqbool Khan, this romantic action comedy film is being produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Mehra.

While most netizens are excited about the Mumbaikar tapori language, action, and songs, a section of social media users have disliked the teaser, slamming the makers for casting star kids amid the raging nepotism debate after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise.



A user wrote: "#KhaaliPeeliTeaser... This is a total waste teaser I have watched in recent times. Ananya's acting is a nightmare for me, disaster".

Another user reacted on the teaser: "Ananya is not up to the role she has given in this movie. she can't act, simple... #KhaaliPeeliTeaser."

In the one-minute-long teaser, we see Ishaan Khatter plays the role of a taxi driver, who was released from jail after serving time for "committing a half murder." Ananya Panday plays the role of a dancer, who is marked by one of her clients after she ran away with stolen money and jewelry. The film draws its title from the fact that Mumbai yellow-top taxis are called 'kaali peeli'.
