It is located to the south of Europe and west of Asia, and it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Indian Ocean to the east, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north. Africa is home to more than 1.3 billion people.
3. North America: North America is the third-largest continent in terms of land area, covering an area of about 24.3 million square kilometers. It is located to the north of South America and west of Europe, and it is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. It is home to more than 579 million people.
4. South America: South America is the fourth-largest continent in terms of land area, covering an area of about 17.8 million square kilometers. It is located to the south of North America and east of Africa. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. South America has a population of over 421 million people.
5. Antarctica: Antarctica is a continent mostly covered in ice, located at the southernmost point of the Earth, Antarctica is the fifth-largest continent in terms of land area, covering an area of about 14 million square kilometers. It is surrounded by the Southern Ocean and has no permanent population, though it is visited by scientists and other personnel.
6. Europe: Europe is the sixth-largest continent in terms of land area, covering an area of about 10.2 million square kilometers. It is located to the west of Asia and north of Africa, and it is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. Europe has a population of over 746 million people.
7. Australia: Australia is the seventh-largest continent in terms of land area, covering an area of about 7.7 million square kilometers. Australia is both a continent and a country, and it has a population of more than 25 million people.
Note: Some geographer consider Europe and Asia as a single landmass called Eurasia. And similarly Australia is not considered as a separate continent in some geographer, it's considered as a region of Oceania.
