List Of New 7 Wonders Of The World

The New Seven Wonders of the World is a list of seven modern architectural or natural wonders compiled in 2000-2007 through a global poll by the New7Wonders Foundation. The winners are:

Chichén Itzá, located in Mexico, is an ancient Maya city, built around 600 AD. known for its great architecture and astronomical alignments.



Christ the Redeemer in Brazil is a 98-foot-tall statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, which was built between 1922 and 1931. The statue stands on Corcovado Mountain, offering a panoramic view of the city.

The Great Wall of China in China is a series of fortifications built along the northern borders of China to protect the Chinese states and empires against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe.

Machu Picchu in Peru is a pre-Columbian 15th-century Inca citadel located on a mountain ridge in the Cusco Region of Peru. It's a well-preserved piece of Incan architecture and engineering.



Petra in Jordan is a historical and archaeological city in southern Jordan. The city is famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system.

The Colosseum in Italy is an oval amphitheater in the center of Rome, built between 70 and 80 AD. The Colosseum is one of the most recognizable symbols of Imperial Rome.

The Taj Mahal in India is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and completed in 1653.

Again, It is worth noting that the New Seven Wonders of the World were compiled through a poll, not as a scientific or archaeological endeavor, and some of the ancient wonders had been replaced by other new natural or architectural wonders from different periods and civilizations.
