Makers Lock Female Cast For Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force'
Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently kicked off the shooting of Maddock Film's ambitious aerial action thriller Sky Force which is being directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur.
The movie is set against the backdrop of the Indian Air Force based on true events. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer while it was revealed recently that Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya has been roped in to play a key role in his acting debut.
Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the makers have also locked the female cast. The report revealed that Akshay's former co-stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan have been roped in to play the female leading roles in the movie.
Nimrat previously starred alongside in the "Airlift" while Sara Ali Khan featured with the superstar in "Atragni Re". Both actresses will reportedly be seen playing small yet crucial roles in this aviation thriller and are excited to reunite with Khiladi Kumar once again.
"Sky Force" is being produced by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films), Jyoti Deshpande (Jio Studios), and Amar Kaushik. The movie will be shot in real locations to maintain the authentic touch and will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. It will be released in late 2024 in theaters worldwide.
