Marvel/Sony Pictures 'Venom 3' Starring Tom Hardy Gets A Director
Los Angeles, October 28 - Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' next installment of Venom has found its director. The Tom Hardy-fronted will be directed by Kelly Marcel who wrote and produced the first two "Venom" installments, according to Deadline.
The report says Marcel and Hardy will also produce Venom 3 with Marcel writing the screenplay from a story by Marcel and Hardy. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker are also producing the blockbuster installment.
The first two films in the franchise - "Venom", and "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" were directed by Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, respectively. The critics' unfriendly franchise has made over $1.36 billion at the worldwide box office for two films.
Deadline reports that it is not yet clear who will join Tom Hardy who will be returning to play the lethal protector Venom. Marcel has been there from the start as Venom's journey was being mapped out, and now, she is set to make her directorial debut with "Venom 3".
