Marvel Studios 'Deadpool and Wolverine' Record Runtime Revealed
Los Angeles, May 17 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Deadpool and Wolverine is set to be the longest film in the franchise upon its official entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As said before, it will be the first R-rated movie to be released by Disney.
Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, the third instalment clocked a runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes, as per AMC Theaters, making it the first Deadpool movie to hit a runtime of over 2 hours.
This would make the threequel the longest Deadpool movie in the franchise, beating 2016's Deadpool which clocked in at 108 minutes (1 hour, 48 minutes) and 2018's Deadpool 2 which ran for 119 minutes (1 hour, 59 minutes).
Among the MCU films in the Multiverse Saga, Deadpool 3 is the 7th longest-running film, ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and behind 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). In the film, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission with Wolverine that will change the history of the MCU.
The movie is scheduled to release on July 26, 2024, in India, it will be released in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, languages.
