Master Review: Check Out What Public Has To Say About Thalapathy Vijay Starrer
During this time last year, movies like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Sarileru Neekevvaru, and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior were released and brightened the Pongal festival by bringing joy to people and the cinema. However, things got drastically changed after the month of March due to the covid-19 pandemic and the entire country went into lockdown for a couple of months. The lockdown not only halted the lives of people but also severely affected the entertainment sector that is now fighting for its survival.
Even after the lockdown lifted and theaters are reopened, the moviemakers are hesitating to release their films in theaters. Either they are taking a direct OTT route or holding back the release date until the normalcy return. The trade analyst and exhibitors were even started speculating that Sankranthi 2021 will be without big stars' movies. And when the clouds of uncertainty were getting darker, the South Indian film industries stood up and decided to take the first step. After the Telugu movie Solo Brathuke So Better, the biggest film post lockdown, Thalapathy Vijay starrer, Master is all set to bring joy to cinemas.
After a long delay, Master is releasing on January 13 in theaters on the occasion of the Pongal Festival. As it was expected, almost all the shows for the first day has been sold out in Tamil Nadu theaters even though, the theaters are allowed to operate with just 50% of seating capacity. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan in the prominent roles.
Here are the reactions of moviegoers over Master -

#Master Adrenaline pumping & Enjoyable. Fantastic Combo - #ThalapathyVijay the stylish protagonist & @VijaySethuOffl as deadly antagonist makes it awesome & crackling, especially knockout climax scene! When @Dir_Lokesh directs #Thalapathy it is going 2 b different and it shows.

#Master: A super stylish outing for #ThalapathyVijay, who gets it absolutely right with his swag, looks and his performance as well. Arguably his best makeover since Thuppakki, with loads to 'celebrate' for fans in full!

A #ThalapathyVijay film with quite a few differences, baddie #MakkalSelvan #VijaySethupathi rocks with his acting skills 🤜🤛 #Nammavar @Dir_Lokesh stamps his mark in the mass genre too
Largely engaging, despite the slow pace & 3 hrs runtime
Enjoy!
.@Dir_Lokesh has got it in building up of story from 2 contrasting characters JD & Bhavani and the ultimate face off at the end. @anirudhofficial and @sathyaDP 👌💥

#MasterFilm at interval. Totally dig what Lokesh has created here. Perfect duel set between Vijay & VJS for the second half. Treads a very familiar space but still manages to engage and make for a great watch. Thalapathy's laid-back attitude is 👌

Watching back to back shows💥
