Hyderabad, September 23 - Megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela has set a Guinness World Record and was honoured with the award of the most prolific star in the Indian film industry on Sunday, September 22 in Hyderabad.

The veteran Telugu star set a record for his dance performances with over 537 songs and 24,000 dance moves in 46 years. No other actor in and outside India has achieved this milestone. The certificate was handed over by a representative of the Guinness World Records.



The event also saw Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan sharing that stage with Megastar Chiranjeevi. The certificate presented to the legendary actor read "The most prolific film star in the Indian Film Industry-actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star achieved on 20 September 2024".

"If you watch any of his songs, his heart is completely in it. He enjoys every move, and because of that, we can't take our eyes off him. His joy is infectious, and we all feel it as we watch him. Your (Chiranjeevi) journey has been filled with many milestones, and I'm certain there are more to come. We are always here to be entertained and inspired by you", Aamir Khan said.

Chiranjeevi took to X and wrote, "This Guinness world record honor goes to the producers who made films with me, to the directors who guided me, to the music directors who gave me wonderful songs, to the choreographers who composed so many different steps. This is dedicated to everyone who loved me and liked my dances".
