Mimi Review: Netizens Declare Kriti Sanon's Dramedy 'Mimi' A Blockbuster Affair

Mumbai, July 27, 2021: Kriti Sanon starrer comedy-drama, Mimi, was supposed to premiere on July 30 on Netflix and Jio Cinema. However, due to the alleged piracy of the film on Telegram and other pirated sites, the makers were forced to prepone the release on July 26 - 4 days before it was originally scheduled.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film's story and screenplay, originally based on Marathi's 2011 film Mala Aai Vhhaychy!, was adapted by Utekar alongside Rohan Shankar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Mimi highlights the topic of surrogacy in an entertaining manner in which, Kriti plays the titular role of Mimi, who opts to be a surrogate mother for a couple.



Mimi also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Saie Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak in prominant roles along with Evelyn Edwards and Aidan Whytock. Upon the release of the film, Mimi, is getting rave reviews from critics and audiences. Netizens have called it Kriti Sanon's finest film to date and declare it a blockbuster affair.
