'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One' Theatrical Runtime Revealed
Los Angeles, May 27 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise returns as IMF agent, Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One, and this, he will get some more time to complete his mission as the movie is set to be longest yet in the franchise.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the 7th installment in the "Mission Impossible" franchise is gearing up to release on July 12 in the US, and it will officially be the longest film in the series but still shorter than certain rumors had it at.
According to IGN, "MI 7" will clock in at 2 hours and 36 minutes (156 minutes) without credits, making it the longest film surpassing 2018's "Mission: Impossible Fallout", which had a runtime of 2 hours and 27 minutes. Earlier, there were rumors that the movie might clock 2 hours 45 minutes of runtime without credits, which is not the case as confirmed by the report.
Interestingly, the theatrical runtime of the "Mission Impossible" movies continues to get increased with each passing film, except for the 5th movie "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" (131 minutes) which finished 2 minutes shorter than the 4th movie "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" (133 minutes). The first movie in this spy action thriller franchise "Mission: Impossible" (1998) ran for 110 minutes only.
Meanwhile, the upcoming film in the series will see Tom Cruise performing the most dangerous and death-defying stunt yet as he and his IMF team embark on their dangerous mission to track down a terrifying weapon that threatens humanity before it falls into the wrong hands.
Made on a budget of around $300 million, the Paramount Pictures movie will be hitting cinemas on July 12, after being pushed up by two days recently. In India, it will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
