Model Dimple Paul Joins MeToo Movement, Accuses Sajid Khan Of Sexual Harassment
Director-producer, Sajid Khan one of the people who was accused of sexual harassment when the Me Too movement wave hit India in 2018. And now, in 2020, the filmmaker has again been in news for the wrong reasons as he has been named in an alleged sexual harassment case.
Indian model Dimple Paul aka Paula has taken to her social media and alleged that the filmmaker harassed her and asked her to strip in front of him in order to get a role in Housefull when she just 17 years old.
The model captioned her post on Instagram saying, "Before democracy dies and there is no freedom of speech anymore I thought I should speak!"
"He spoke dirty to me. He tried to touch me. He even told me to strip in front of him just to get a role in his upcoming Housefull movie", she said in her post.
"These bastards should be behind bars not only for casting couch but also for manipulating and for stealing away your dreams, but I did not stop!!! But the wrong I did was not to speak about it!", she added.
Sajid Khan was dropped as a director of Housefull 4 when he was accused of sexual harassment earlier. Following the PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Investigation Closure Report and the Internal Complaints Committee's (ICC) recommendation, IFTDA suspended his membership for a year. The report was revealed on the official Twitter account on December 7, 2018.
