Mohanlal's 'Drishyam 3' To Be Made In Malayalam and Hindi Simultaneously

Kochi, April 16 - Superstar Mohanlal's crime suspense thriller Drishyam is one of the most popular franchises to come from Malayalam cinema, and it reached the next level with the remake versions, especially the Bollywood star Ajay Devgn-led Hindi remake.

The second part of the original film was directly released on OTT in 2021, before the Hindi remake set the box office on fire in 2022 with around 350 crores gross worldwide. Ajay Devgn has confirmed that the work on Drishyam 3 will begin soon, but it might be in trouble, as per the latest report.



Recently, Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph confirmed Drishyam 3, and now, according to the latest report by Mid-Day, the Malayalam makers are also targeting the Hindi audience with the upcoming film as it is already a popular franchise in North India due to the remake versions.

The report says that Mohanlal and Joseph are keen to make Drishyam 3 a bilingual offering to be released in Malayalam and Hindi to make it a proper pan-India outing. On the other hand, it is said that the Hindi version of Drishyam 3 is completely different from Malayalam, unlike the previous films, which were remade.

Mid-Day further reported that Malayalam makers are working towards taking the film on floors by May-end this year; on the other hand, the script for Hindi is still reportedly being worked upon.
