Netflix India Announces Its Slate Of 2021 Releases Including Films and Web Shows
Streaming giant Netflix on Wednesday announced the slate of its upcoming releases which will be streaming on its platform in 2021. The slate includes a total of 41 titles including the next seasons of Delhi Crime, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Mismatched, Kota Factory, Little Things, and others.
This year, Netflix India will also release original true crime documentaries, one of which is based on Ma Anand Sheela apart from the comedy show of Kapil Sharma. Netflix India will also be streaming 13 films this year including Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka, Taapsee Pannu's Haseen Dilruba, an anthology film Ajeeb Daastaans, Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram, and few others.

Jagame Thandhiram
Dhanush, James Cosmo, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan, and Joju George starrer tell the story of Suruli, a nomadic gangster who has to choose between good and evil in a war for what one can truly call home. It is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by YNOT Studios, Reliance Entertainment, S. Sashikanth, Chakravarthy Ramachandra.
Haseen Dillruba
Starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane, this movie tells the story of a woman whose heart longs to live like words captured in a novel, finds herself entangled in the murder of her own husband. It is directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, Aanand L Rai.
Dhamaka
Directed by Ram Madhvani and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ram Madhvani, and Amita Madhvani, Dhamaka is an official remake of the 2014 South Korean film The Terror Live. It stars Kartik Aaryan in the leading role of a journalist along with Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash, Vikas Kumar, and Vishwajeet Pradhan in key roles.
Sardar Ka Grandson
Sardar Ka Grandson is a family entertainer that promises to strike a chord with its stellar cast and their emotions. It stars Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh along with Neena Gupta, John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hyadari, Soni Razdan, Kanwaljeet Singh, and Kumud Mishra. This film is directed by Kaashvie Nair and produced by Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani, and John Abraham.
Bulbul Tarang
Starring Sonakshi Sinha, and Tahir Raj Bhasin, Bulbul Tarang is directed by Shree Narayan Singh who is known for directing Akshay Kumar's Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shahid Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu. This film is produced by Reliance Entertainment.
Ajeeb Daastaans
Ajeeb Daastaans is an anthology of four strangely contrasting stories which delves into fractured relationships and unexplored spaces directed by Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan, and Kayoze Irani. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, Dharmatic Entertainment, Ajeeb Daastaans stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Armaan Ralhan, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Inayat Verma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
Jaadugar
Directed by Sameer Saxena, and produced by Posham PA Pictures, Jaadugar is a story of a small-time magician in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh who has to win a local football tournament in order to marry the love of his life. It stars Jitendra Kumar while Arushi Sharma is his love interest playing in the film.
Meenakshi Sundareshwar
Starring Sanya Malhotra, and Abhimanyu Dassani, Meenakshi Sundareshwar revolves around a young couple Meenakshi and Sundareshwar, who enters into an arranged marriage because of their first names together make Madurai's famous temple 'Meenakshi - Sundareshwar'. It is directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.
Milestone
The poignant film follows the story of a recently bereaved, middle-aged truck driver, Ghalib, who is coping with a personal tragedy and the consequences thereafter, while facing the existential threat of losing his job to a young recruit. Directed by Ivan Ayr, it stars Suvinder Vicky and Lakshvir Saran.
Navarasa
Navarasa is a Tamil anthology film, produced by Mani Ratnam through his studio Madras Talkies, and Jayendra Panchapakesan. The series features nine stand-alone episodes based on the Indian concept of the Navarasas. Pagglait
Pagglait is a comedy-drama film featuring Sanya Malhotra, Shruti Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, and Raghubir Yadav in lead roles. It narrates the story of a recently widowed struggling to mourn the death of her husband, as she sets out on the path of self-discovery, attempting to find her identity and purpose in life. Directed by Umesh Bist, the film is produced by Balaji Telefilms and Sikhya Entertainment.
Penthouse
Penthouse is a mystery thriller film directed by Abbas Mustan and produced by Sunir Khetarpal, and Gaurav Bose. It stars Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, Mouni Roy, Cyrus Broacha, Tisca Chopra, and Abrar Zahoor.
The Disciple
The Disciple is a 2020 Marathi drama film directed by Chaitanya Tamhane. Starring Aditya Modak, Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit, the film tells the story of a man who has devoted his life to becoming an Indian classical music vocalist, diligently following the traditions and discipline of the old masters, his guru, and his father.
