Nushrratt Bharuccha And Diana Penty Join Akshay Kumar, And Emraan Hashmi In 'Selfiee'

Mumbai, March 21 - Earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar joined hands with Dharma Productions to announce the comedy-drama film, "Selfiee", which is the official remake of the Malayalam hit, "Driving Licence". It also stars Emraan Hashmi for the first time with Akshay.

Now, the makers have finalized the leading ladies of "Selfie". Nushrratt Bharuccha, who is playing one of the female leads in the upcoming film "Ram Setu", has also been cast in "Selfiee", along with Diana Penty. Penty will be sharing screen space with both Akshay and Emraan.



Dharma Productions took to Twitter and announces both Nushrratt and Diana onboard "Selfiee" with a fun announcement video, also featuring Akshay and Emraan. "Fasten your seatbelt because the ever stunning @Nushrratt & @DianaPenty have joined the #Selfiee crew to take you on an adventure of a lifetime", read the caption.

"Selfiee" is currently on floors under the direction of Raj Mehta, who previously collaborated with Akshay for "Good Newwz". In the upcoming film, Akshay will feature as a superstar while Emraan will be playing the role of a cop, who is also a fan of Akshay's character in the film. The movie revolves around both the character and how a feud develops between them that takes a toll on each other's personal and professional lives.

The film is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape of Good Films. It will be released in late 2022 or early 2023 in theaters.
