Power Star Pawan Kalyan To Be The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, June 12 - Telugu superstar turned politician, Pawan Kalyan scored a historic win as Jana Sena party chief in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections where his party was in the NDA alliance which secured the win on 164 out of 175 seats.
On Wednesday (June 12), Pawan Kalyan took oath as one of Andhra Pradesh's cabinet ministers as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu will hold the Chief Ministerial post. As per reports, Pawan Kalyan will be the deputy chief minister of the state.
Kalyan was elected from the Pithapuram assembly constituency in the East Godavari district while his party won 21 out of 21 seats in the Assembly elections along with both seats it contested for Lok Sabha elections with a 100% strike rate.
Pawan Kalyan founded a political party named Jana Sena Party on 14 March 2014 and he finally broke through the state's assembly a decade later as one of the most powerful leaders of the Andhra politics.
Meanwhile, apart from politics, PK is also active in cinema as he has multiple films in the pipeline. He will next be seen in the gangster drama, OG which is scheduled to release next year. He also has Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit and Ustaad Bhagat Singh under production.
