Prabhas-Fronted 'Kalki 2898 AD' Gets A New Release Date

Hyderabad, April 6 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has been creating quite a storm ever since it was announced a couple of years back. The movie is now gearing up for its grand release across the globe in the next couple of months.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has been scheduled to release on May 9, 2024, however, general elections are happening around this date in Telugu states, so the makers are planning to postpone the release for a couple of weeks.



According to the latest Telugu media reports, Kalki 2898 AD will now be hitting theatres on May 30, Thursday in multiple languages and the official announcement regarding the same is around the corner. Meanwhile, it was reported yesterday that the makers would be releasing an animated prelude of the film which will release directly on OTT.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film will receive a unique and mammoth promotional campaign and the animated prelude is the key part of it. The film begins from the part where this animated prelude ends and is expected to introduce the characters of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone among others.
