Prabhas-Starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD' Completes Censorship
Hyderabad, June 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has completed censorship formalities with just over a week left for the release. The highly-anticipated sci-fi epic is directed by Nag Ashwin and it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan, among others.
The censor screening of Kalki 2898 AD took place on June 18 and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the movie with a 'U/A' certificate and an approved runtime of 3 hours.
The movie's 3D version was said to be shown in the CBFC screening and the reports say that the censor officials were left in awe by the film's groundbreaking visuals and Nag Ashwin's visionary direction. It is also revealed that there could be a second part of Kalki as the Cliffhanger at the end of the film reportedly came out very well.
As reported earlier, Kalki 2898 AD is the costliest Indian movie ever for a budget of around 600 crores and it is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The film is scheduled to release on June 27 in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil.
