Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' Sold 10 Million Tickets On Book My Show
Mumbai, July 7 - Kalki 2898 AD continues to run riot at the ticket window and has already sold over 2.50 crores of tickets in the first 10 days in all languages. Now, the movie has unlocked another milestone on the ticketing platform, Book My Show.
The Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic has become the first film of 2024 to sell 10 million tickets on Book My Show as it achieved this feat on July 7th. After opening pre-sales sales on June 23, Kalki 2898 AD sold around 6.50 million tickets till June 30.
Kalki remained rock solid during the weekdays, and from July 1st to July 6th, it sold around 3.35 million tickets, for a total of around 9.75 million tickets on BMS. On the 7th of July, Kalki 2898 AD sold 577K+ tickets on BMS, for 10.34 million total tickets and became the first movie of the year to sell 10+ million tickets on the platform.
Directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD is the first instalment in a planned Kalki Cinematic Universe. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, the film follows a select group on a mission to save Kalki, the unborn child of SUM-80, a lab subject.
