Prithviraj Sukumaran Confirmed His Role In Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar'

Hyderabad, June 25 - Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed that he is doing Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The actor hasn't started shooting for his portion yet and said that he would be meeting with director Prashanth Neel to find dates for the movie.

Prithviraj also said that he was offered "Salaar" two years ago and he immediately said yes as he found the story very interesting. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of things changed which tempted Prithviraj to back out from the project because he too had his other commitments.



Prabhas, who is playing the title role of Salaar, convinced Prithviraj to do the role which he agreed upon. He will be playing a very important role for which the details are yet to be known. The movie is produced by Hombale Films which has bankrolled mega-blockbuster KGF films.

"Salaar" stars Shruti Haasan as the female lead while it also stars Jagapathi Babu, Madhu Guruswamy, and Easwari Rao in key roles. The movie is scheduled to release in the summer of 2023 in multiple languages.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran is busy promoting his upcoming movie "Kaduva" which is an action thriller Malayam film. It is scheduled to release on June 30 in theaters. Apart from "Kaduva", he has multiple films in the pipeline including the Pan India movie "Tyson" with KGF producers.
