R Madhavan Reunites With Ajay Devgn For 'De De Pyaar De 2'

Mumbai, May 24 - Actor R. Madhavan is set to reunite with Bollywood star Ajay Devgn in the sequel to romantic-comedy De De Pyaar De. Directed by Anshul Sharma, DDPD 2 has Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, reprising her role from the original movie along with Ajay Devgn.

According to the report by Pinkvilla, R. Madhavan has come on board to play a key role which was supposed to be played by Anil Kapoor. Madhavan and Ajay Devgn previously shared screen space in the horror thriller Shaitaan which was released earlier this year and was a big box office success.



"Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan had a horrific face-off in Shaitaan, and now, come 2025, the duo will again lock horns in De De Pyaar De 2. However, this time around, their on-screen chemistry will have a complete makeover, as the face-off will have a lot of comic undertones", says the report.

The sequel will chronicle comic events in the family of Rakul Preet Singh arising out of the relationship between Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul). Produced by Luv Ranjan and T-Series, De De Pyaar De 2 will go on floors in June this year and it will be shot in multiple locations.

De De Pyaar De 2 will be released on May 1, 2025.
