Rani Mukerji's 'Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway' Garners Positive Reviews From Early Screening
Mumbai, March 14 - Actress Rani Mukerji is returning to the big screen with yet-another hard-hitting film, titled Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway which is releasing this Friday, March 17.
Based on a real-life incident, the family legal drama film is the true story of an Indian couple, an adaptation based on the mother's - Sagarika Chakraborty's autobiography titled 'THE JOURNEY OF A MOTHER'; whose children were taken away from them by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011.
Directed by Ashima Chibber, "Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway" had its premiere last night (March 13), and going by the initial critics' response, it is yet another solid film delivered by Rani. The actress has beautifully portrayed the emotions of a helpless mother who fought against a system to bring her child back.
The courtroom scenes, featuring Jim Sarbh and Balaji Gauri are said to be the biggest highlight of the film. Have a look at some of the reviews from the premiere.

What a young mother of two infants must have gone through after Norwegian government confiscated her both the kids under cultural charges? #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway is disturbing, evokes anger against the system and runs at its own pace 😭

#MrsChatterjeeVsNorway is gut-wrenching. Came out of the theatre so overwhelmed and in tears. Mother-centric stories are so difficult for me to watch now. #RanjMukerji carries this movie on her shoulder & gives one of the finest performances of all time. Kudos to the team.

Watched Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway (MCVN)& I am blown away by the compelling story. It’s tight, gripping, makes you want to simply bypass an interval as you are curios to know what next. I need not say this but Rani you are terrific.
