Rashmika Mandanna Replaces Parineeti Chopra To Star Opposite Ranbir Kapoor In 'Animal'
Mumbai, March 29 - National crush, Rashmika Mandanna has bagged another massive film in Bollywood. The "Pushpa" actress, who is already working on two Hindi films in the form of "Mission Majnu" and "Good Bye", has been roped to play the female lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal".
Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was cast opposite RK, however, it was recently confirmed that she will no longer be a part of the film as she was signed on for a new film. It is said that producer Bhushan Kumar and the director wanted to cast a fresh pair and thus they decided on Rashmika to fit in the role in this action thriller film that also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles.

"The duo (Bhushan Kumar and Reddy Vanga) feels that both RK and Rashmika will set the screen on fire with their chemistry in Animal. The two share an interesting dynamic in the film that will feature Rashmika in the role of Ranbir's wife", Pinkvilla had earlier reported.
The shooting of "Animal" is expected to begin this summer after Ranbir completes shooting for director Luv Ranjan's yet-untitled romantic-comedy, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. Ranjan's film, which is produced by T-Series, will be released on Holi 2023.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, who was last seen in the biographical comedy-drama film "Sanju" in 2018, will be making his comeback on the big screen with two back-to-back magnum opus films this year. His first release this year is Karan Malhotra-directed period action drama film "Shamshera", which is slated for July 22 release. He then has Ayan Mukerji's Pan-India superhero film, "Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva", due on September 9.
Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, was recently seen the Telugu movie "Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu", and has two more releases going forward. Her Bollywood debut, "Mission Majnu", co-starring Sidharth Malhotra will release on June 10. She also has "Goodbye" with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. It will release sometime later this year. The actress will also start shooting for the much-awaited sequel of Pan-India biggie "Pushpa" with Allu Arjun.
