Rashmika Mandanna To Romance Sivakarthikeyan In Director Anudeep's Next?

Chennai, January 1 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan is on cloud nine after delivering the biggest hit of his career in the form of "Doctor". The actor is now gearing up for his next, "Don", which is likely to release in February 2022. Touted as a college romantic drama, "Don" is directed by Cibi Chakravarthy, and stars Priyanka Mohan as the female lead.

Sivakarthikeyan, meanwhile, welcome 2022 with a new film announcement, which will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film. The yet-untitled film will be directed by Anudeep KV ("Jathi Ratnalu") and produced by Narayan Das K Narang, Suresh Babu, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao. It marks Anudeep's maiden collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, who is debuting in Telugu as a lead hero.

According to reports, the busy bee, Rashmika Mandanna will be the leading lady opposite Tamil star in the film, #SK20. It is reported that the "Pushpa - The Rise" actress is in talks to romance Sivakarthikeyan. If things go as per plan, it will be the first time Rashmika will share screen space with the Tamil actor. It will go on floors in the second half of January 2022.

"SK20" is said to be a romantic comedy film, for which, Sivakarthikeyan has pumped up his Telugu speaking skills. Rashmika, on the other hand, has previously worked in the Tamil movie "Sulthan" opposite Karthi, while she is a regular starrer in Telugu movies.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also has a science fiction comedy film "Ayalaan" under development. The ambitious film is currently in the post-production stage. It also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, and Isha Koppikar in prominent roles while Oscar winner, legendary A. R. Rahman has composed the music.
